Hey Roadmon :)

To make sure, you may want to run this by your doc incase it is from something other then lymphedema.

However, lymphedema can cause peripheral neueropathy. This comes from the compression of the nerves due to swelling and tissue hardness (fibrosis).

May of us seem to have it  . To treat it, you have to treat the swelling.

If you have a lymphedema therapist, let them know and they can focus on the areas that need additional help.

Pat, thanks for your resonse. The numbness just happens once in a while. I just got a new 40-50 custom stocking and thought the tightness of it could cause some funny feelings. I now have a wonderful therapist and wish I had had her first.....the first three were not so good.

I have been doing all I can to provide awareness for lymphedema. I contact everyone I can think of and hope to get something on TV. I am starting to suggest that groups or new programs check out the Lymphedema Research Foundation website. Have you seen the movie they have? They really are raising money and awareness (Long Island area).
